Store director Shirley Lea said the pharmacy’s gift shop offers candles from six different candle lines, cards for any occasion, hand-made wreaths for every season and Alabama, Auburn and LSU merchandise from the Magnolia Lane collection, along with plenty of other items.

Pharmacy staff can also put together gift baskets of merchandise if wanted.

Merchandise is seasonal and changes often, Lea said.

“Our candles and our cards receive a lot of compliments in particular,” Lea said.

The soda fountain offers milkshakes, malts, sundaes, ice cream cones and sodas, as well as snacks.

Lea said while her favorite confection is the strawberry milkshake, customers favor the milk chocolate milkshakes and chocolate malts.

Lea and Rogers know the soda fountain will attract children — and they’re just fine with that.

“It’s a safe haven for children and parents to relax,” Lea said.

The pharmacy, which is open every day, also offers free wi-fi, as well as a delivery service for customers who need medications delivered to their homes.
