The Thompson High School girls’ tennis team won its opening match of the season against Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa 9-0 in high school tennis action Feb. 13.

The Warriors won all six singles’ matches and all three doubles’ matches against Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa.

Laura Harwell of Thompson won her No. 1 singles’ match 10-3. Erin Hutter of Thompson won her No. 2 singles’ match 10-3.

Victoria Killingsworth of Thompson won her No. 3 singles’ match 10-3. Olivia Sorrell of Thompson won her No. 4 singles’ match 10-2.

Maria Siow of Thomspon won her No. 5 singles’ match 10-8. Anna Conn won her No. 6 singles’ match 10-3.

Hutter and Siow won their No. 1 doubles’ match 10-5. Harwell and Killingsworth won their No. 2 doubles’ match 10-1.

Sorrell and Conn won their No. 3 doubles’ match 10-1.

Tyler Shaw of Thompson dropped his No. 1 singles’ match 10-6. Cameron Faulkner of Thompson dropped his No. 2 singles’ match 10-4.

Tony Pendleton of Thompson dropped his No. 3 singles’ match 10-8. Jared Pendleton Cowsar of Thompson dropped his No. 4 singles’ match 10-0.

James Langnes of Thompson dropped his No. 5 singles’ match 10-4.

Shaw and Faulkner dropped their No. 1 doubles’ match 10-5. Pendleton and Pendleton Cowsar dropped their No. 2 doubles’ match 10-1.
