Dear Editor,

I have been trying to get some work or repairs done on the Oak Mountain Park Road for the last two years. I have called the City of Pelham, the State Highway Department, the County Highway Dept and also the Park Division in Montgomery.

All of the above other (than) the Park Division said it was not their road and could not help to do anything. Now I see in your paper today, Feb. 8, 2012, that the world championship is coming to Oak Mountain State Park.

Pelham Mayor Murphy said maybe 500 to 600 newcomers would be in town. This is sad that I can not get anyone to help with this road. The trash, the shoulders is in bad shape and (there are) pot holes.

Please, people, get together and come up with something to get this road in better shape. We do not need for the visitors to see that Pelham and the park do not care.
