Dear Editor,

In regards to the article by Sandy Swindall: bravo for your comments in regards to teachers and gifts.

You only have to volunteer or work at a school to appreciate the “financial” sacrifices teachers make for their students.

Teachers’ contributions for their classroom and students are done for the love of teaching their students, not a pat on the back.

I bet our legislators are spreading a nine-month check out over a 12-month period. Again, bravo Mrs. Swindall for telling it like it really is.
