The Chelsea High School boys’ basketball team defeated Bibb County 69-61 in high school basketball action Jan. 19.

D.D. Washington led the Hornets (11-12) with a game-high 27 points in the victory. Washington also grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds to finish with a double-double.

Jake Ganus added 15 points and nine rebounds in the win.

GIRLS

The Chelsea High School girls’ basketball team fell to Bibb County 47-43 in high school basketball action Jan. 19.

Amanda Mock led the Hornets (8-12) with a game-high 15 points. Mock also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.

Perri Lambert added 12 points and a team-high seven steals.
