The Cornerstone Christian School girls’ basketball team defeated Chambers Academy 57-44 in an Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 1A, Area 1 contest Jan. 17.

Savanna Upton led the Chargers (9-6) with a game-high 23 points in the victory.

Jana Kelbie Armstrong added 10 points in the win.

BOYS

The Cornerstone Christian School boys’ basketball team defeated Chambers Academy 53-34 in an Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 1A, Area 1 contest Jan. 17.

Kendall Moore led the Chargers (13-4 overall, 4-1 in AISA Class 1A, Area 1) with 17 points in the victory.

B.J. Smith added 15 points in the win.
