The Calera High School girls’ basketball team defeated Dallas County 56-35 in high school basketball action Jan. 6.

Tyesha Haynes led the Eagles (8-6) with a game-high 28 points in the victory.

Maurina McClain added 10 points in the win.

BOYS

The Calera High School boys’ basketball team defeated Dallas County 73-56 in high school basketball action Jan. 6.

Deondre Haynes led the Eagles (16-2) with a game-high 26 points in the victory.

Jeremy Hyde added 14 points. Ronnie Clark chipped in 13 points in the victory.
