The Thompson High School wrestling team edged Benjamin Russell 39-34 in high school wrestling action Dec. 13.

Seven Warriors won individual matches against Benjamin Russell.

Austin Gould of Thompson pinned Caleb Bailey of Benjamin Russell in 1:54 in the 113-pound match. Tyler Lacey of Thompson earned a 17-11 decision over Kyle Robinson of Benjamin Russell in the 126-pound match.

Cody Albarado of Thompson pinned Devante Stamps of Benjamin Russell in 54 seconds in the 138-pound match. John Austin (J.A.) Jones of Thompson pinned Ryan Jones of Benjamin Russell in 1:52 in the 152-pound match.

David Capers of Thompson pinned Latrevor Milner of Benjamin Russell in 3:40 in the 195-pound match. Hunter Pinneo of Thompson pinned Rocky Gibson of Benjamin Russell in 1:45 in the 220-pound match.

Jake Rakestraw of Thompson pinned Brandon Lawry of Benjamin Russell in 42 seconds in the heavyweight match.
