Vincent High School assistant football coach Nathan Fordham was recently recognized as the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 2A Assistant Coach of the Year by ALFCA, the Alabama Football Coaches Association.
Fordham, the Yellow Jackets’ offensive coordinator, led an offense that averaged 35 points per game this season during Vincent’s 9-3 season. The Vincent offense scored a season-high 72 points in a 72-42 win over Isabella on Oct. 7.
Fordham will be recognized at an ALFCA luncheon Jan. 28 in Montgomery.
“It’s a big honor to be recognized,” Fordham said. “It speaks more to what our kids were able to do this year.”
