The Vincent High School boys’ basketball team defeated Talladega County Central 73-55 in high school basketball action Dec. 1.

Tyler Williams, who knocked down four 3-pointers in the victory, led the Yellow Jackets with 19 points. Williams also finished with six assists.

Dontravious Moon, who hit three 3-pointers, added 18 points to go along with nine rebounds and six assists in the win. Jamal McCrimon finished with a team-high 12 rebounds.

GIRLS

The Vincent High School girls’ basketball team fell to Talladega County Central 53-31 in high school basketball action Dec. 1.

Tacarra Hawkins led the Yellow Jackets with 10 points in the loss.

Carol (Joy) Tucker added eight points and five rebounds. Brooklyn Jones posted seven points and five boards.

Pamala Mann, TajManique Youngblood and Akel Kelley finished with two points. Kelley also finished with three rebounds and three steals.
