Patty-Corwin

Mr. and Mrs. Norman Keith Patty of Pelham are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Forbes Patty, to Caleb James Corwin.

Emily is the granddaughter of James Dewey Holcomb and the late Marilda Dockery Holcomb and Frances Cochran Patty and the late Jerry Leonard Patty, all of Birmingham. She is a 2005 graduate of Pelham High School. She attended the University of Alabama and was graduated summa cum laude in 2009, majoring in psychology. Emily is currently pursuing her doctorate in school psychology at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

Caleb is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Czerna Corwin of Cullowhee, N.C. He is the grandson of Grace James Hembree and the late William James of Murphy, North Carolina and the late Irene Parkhurst Corwin and Joseph Corwin of Salinas, Calif. He is a 2003 graduate of Smoky Mountain High School. He attended East Carolina University with a major in psychology and religion, where he was graduated cum laude in 2007. He obtained his master’s degree in clinical psychology from Western Carolina University in 2009. He is currently in the doctoral program in clinical psychology at Louisiana State University.

The wedding will take place December 17, 2011 at Wilson Chapel United Methodist Church in Roebuck Springs, Birmingham.
