COLUMBIANA – The rental fee for the Columbiana Recreation Building is increasing.

The Columbiana City Council voted Tuesday night to increase the rental fee from $100 to $200 per rental. The $100 deposit remains the same.

“This increase is necessary in order to meet current expenses to maintain the facility,” according to the resolution.

The price increase is effective immediately.

In other news from the meeting, the council:

-Reappointed Frieda Abrams to the Columbiana Library Board, with a term to expire in October 2015.

-Decided to hold an Oct. 25 work session at 6 p.m. at City Hall to review the proposed 2012 budget.

-Approved minutes from the Oct. 4 council meeting.
