FROM STAFF REPORTS
Alabaster’s Paul’s Diamond Center will look to help those affected by domestic violence Oct. 13 while giving away a $1,500 half-carat diamond ring.
The event will begin at 5 p.m. at the business, which is located in Alabaster’s Colonial Promenade shopping center.
During the event, which will run until 8 p.m., Paul’s Diamond employees will sell raffle tickets for $10 each for a chance to win the half-carat ring.
All proceeds from the raffle sales will be donated to SafeHouse of Shelby County, which offers services for those affected by domestic and sexual violence throughout the county. SafeHouse, which is based in Pelham, also hosts educational programs for schools, hospitals and other agencies in the county.
The event will feature free wine and beer, and local musician Keith Williams will perform in the store.
