The Kingwood Christian School volleyball team swept Tuscaloosa Academy 25-18, 25-19, 25-18 in an Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 2A, Region 2 match Sept. 19.

Senior Emily Trimble led the Lions (12-5 overall, 6-1 in AISA Class 2A, Region 2) with seven kills in the victory. Trimble also recorded four service aces and two assists in the match.

Senior Katie McElroy registered six kills and three service aces. Sophomore Blair Holsombeck finished with two kills and four service aces to go along with a team-high six digs.
