Briarwood Christian School has canceled school today, Sept. 6, because the building has no power, according to physical education teacher Karen England.

School officials plan to reopen the school tomorrow.

Hoover schools, including Spain Park High School, Berry Middle School, Riverchase Elementary School and Greystone Elementary School, are delaying the school day two hours. Schools will begin at 10 a.m. and will close on a normal schedule. Buses will also run on a normal schedule.
