Edmondson 96th

Adell Isbell Edmondson recently celebrated her 96th birthday at her home with family. Also celebrating the same birthday date was her grandson, Jeff Denney of Leeds. The day began with breakfast. The family members worked throughout the day with “honey-do” chores on the outside. Three birthday cakes baked by the honoree’s daughter, Mary Gene Denney, were enjoyed by the two honorees and Adell’s 6-year-old twin great-grandsons, who celebrated with a pool party on Tuesday, July 12.

Adell is the daughter of James Laney and Samantha Adams Isbell. She is one of nine children, with only one surviving sister, Ruth Isbell Smith of Birmingham. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gene Edmondson. Her children are Mac Stinson (Glenda), Mary Gene Denney (Robert) and Dell Moody (Freddie.)

She has six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A wonderful time was had by all. Mother, we wish you many more birthdays.
