Kids in Calera and the surrounding community can enjoy Vacation Bible School at The Church at Shelby Crossings from July 18-22.

“A Kid Like Me” is the theme of the Vacation Bible School. The program will run from 9 a.m. to noon.  VBS is for children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade.

The Bible school will include daily stories about kids from the Bible and how God uses ordinary kids to reveal his extraordinary power. Volunteers and staff from Shelby Crossings planned, wrote and prepared all the materials for the VBS and tailored it for the children of the Calera community.

More than 100 children are expected at this year’s Vacation Bible School, according to Shellyn Poole, the church’s children’s and preschool minister.
