Mutual Savings Credit Union recently opened a new branch in the Calera Marketplace shopping center and has plans for a grand opening celebration July 29.

The new office will be staffed by the same employees that operated the branch’s previous location in the nearby Calera Super Walmart.

“Our members will enjoy the new facility and its accessibility,” said Lynne Loftin, MSCU’s senior vice president of operations. “The biggest improvement has been the addition of a drive thru window.  Our members can now conduct their transactions from their vehicle in bad weather or if they are in a hurry.”

The grand opening will be held in conjunction with the credit union’s 75^th anniversary.

“The grand opening at the new Calera branch will include a live radio remote, refreshments and giveaways,” said Sonja Purvis, senior vice president of marketing and development. “All branches will have similar activities and contests to help members celebrate the 75^th anniversary on July 29^th. It will be a perfect way for us to thank our members for their many years of loyalty.”
