Birmingham man arrested for allegedly robbing Kohl’s

HOOVER – A Birmingham man is in custody for allegedly robbing a Kohl’s department store at 100 Inverness Corners.
Hoover police say Raymond Rodriguez IV, 28, approached a store employee July 6 at 5 p.m. and demanded money from the cash register.
The suspect kept one hand inside his pants, implying that he had a handgun, according to a Hoover Police Department press release. The suspect fled the store and was seen fleeing in a white Ford Mustang.
Detectives confirmed Rodriguez’s identity when employees provided police with a previous credit card transaction from the suspect, according the press release.
Rodriguez was taken into custody July 7 in the 3200 block of Summit Drive in Birmingham. He was booked July 8 and is being held at the Shelby County Jail on a $15,000 bond.
