INVERNESS — Tire Engineers will open its seventh location of the Birmingham area in Inverness July 9.

Fred Johnson, chairman of Tire Engineers, said the new location will enable the company to better serve customers in North Shelby.

“For many years residents of the 280 corridor have patronized our downtown and Pelham locations, but now we will be much closer to them,” Johnson said.

The U.S. 280 store will feature eight service bays, as well as a customer lounge area with free wireless internet and a courtesy shuttle service for customers who live or work in the area.

Tire Engineers Chief Operating Officer Howie Johnston said customer service is a high priority.

“We are committed to providing our customers with a professional experience every time they interact with us,” he said.

Steven Davidson, Clyde Kellum and Mike Wilson will manage the new location. The store is located at 4750 U.S. 280 in Inverness.
