Thomas Earnest Warren, age 85, passed away at his home in Calcis on June 30, 2011 after several months of declining health.
He was a native of New London in St. Clair County, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Bertha Warren; his brothers, John and Henry Warren; and his sisters, Rosie Wilder, Ella Mae Luckett and Aldena Sims.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Frances Justice Warren; his daughter, Tommie Usry (Ralph); his son, Russell Warren (Renee’); grandchildren, R.D., Rachael and Calla Warren; three nephews, Ray Warren and Jerry and Larry Sims; and one niece, Susie Henry.
He graduated from Vincent High School in May 1944. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from Oct. 1944 until Oct. 1945. He retired from Hayes International Aircraft Company in 1988, and continued to help Frances operate H.R. Justice Store in Calcis.
Funeral services will be held at Macedonia North Baptist Church, Highway 231 North, Vincent, on Saturday, July 2, 2011. The family will receive relatives and friends from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Burial in adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Sims, Larry Sims, Ray Warren, Bill Justice, Nolen Clinkscales and R.D. Warren, II.
At the time of his passing, he was the oldest living member of Macedonia North Baptist Church.
