Stephen and Gay Skinner of Moore, S.C. are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebecca Shannon, to Robert Hillhouse Shaw III.

Rebecca is the granddaughter of Ann Skinner of Tuscaloosa and the late Albert Skinner, John and Claudia Jayne of Birmingham and the late Richard Gilliland. She graduated from Dorman High School. She then graduated from Samford University with an art degree.

Robert is the son of Robert and Cindy Shaw of Birmingham. He is the grandson of Bob and Miriam Lewis of Camden, Margaret Shaw of Mountain Brook and the late Robert Shaw and the late Charlotte Shaw of Columbiana. He graduated from Briarwood Christian High School and attended Samford University to pursue a degree in business. He is currently employed by Campus Outreach.

The wedding is set to take place July 20, 2011.
