Childersburg
Robert Wesley “Bob” “Digger” Loveless, Jr., age 53, of Childersburg went to join his Dad in heaven on June 23, 2011. He was the most wonderful and unique son, brother, uncle and friend. He was always ready “to ride shotgun.”
He loved the city of Childersburg where he was employed and where he leaves many close friends whom he loved dearly, especially the ladies in the office.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Dad, Robert Wesley Loveless, Sr.
He is survived by his best friend, his mother, Elsie Loveless; sister, Lauriann Loveless; his special nieces, Karman “Karmalla” Loveless and Christy Smith (Brian); his best fishing buddy and brother, Bobby Stewart; his daughter, Christina Loveless-Martenez; his granddaughters, Alessandra and Adriana Martinez (they loved swimming and jet skiing with him); a host of neighbors/family, including Jerri Ann and Jimmy Goins, that lived with him in Lake Shore Village.
Bob Jr.’s family wants to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all his friends for the support and love they have shown during this time. you will never know how much comfort it has been knowing how many people love him.
There was a visitation on Sunday, June 26, from 5-8 p.m., and funeral services on Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Charter Funeral Home in Calera. At Bob Jr.’s request, entombment will be beside his Dad at Curry Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Hoover.
