The following are incident and offense reports from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office from May 19-23:
May 19
-Possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia from the 5400 block of U.S. 280, Birmingham (highway, street). Recovered was a syringe with a bent needle, a syringe containing a yellow residue, a silver spoon with burn marks, a blue pill bottle containing a white residue and a 5-inch straw.
-Burglary from Forest Lakes Lane, Sterrett.
-Domestic investigation from the 100 block of Vasser Circle, Montevallo.
-Theft of property from the 10000 block of County Road 61, Wilsonville. A $60 microwave was stolen.
-Robbery and unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle from the 0 block of Smyer Lake Road, Leeds. A 9mm pistol was stolen.
-Robbery and assault from the 0 block of Smyer Lake Road, Leeds. A black camera bag was stolen.
-Domestic violence (harassment) from the 100 block of Otts Farm Road, Montevallo.
-Domestic violence (assault) from the 3500 block of Highway 47, Shelby.
-Theft of property from the 3300 block of Inverness Landing, Birmingham.
-Sex abuse, first degree, from the 900 block of Oak Street, Montevallo.
-Theft of property from the 3300 block of Inverness Landing, Birmingham. Stolen was a Spiderman 3 Blue Ray disc and case valued at $30.
-Theft of property from the 3500 block of Highway 47, Shelby. Stolen was a 6 year-old pitbull dog (black, brown and white in color) valued at $150.
-Harassing communications from the 300 block of McDow Road, Columbiana.
-Miscellaneous information from the 4800 block of Old Highway 280, Westover.
-Miscellaneous information from the 1600 block of U.S. 280 E., Chelsea.
-Theft of property from the 1400 block of Highway 39, Chelsea. Stolen was a black metal mailbox valued at $12.
-Theft of property from the 1400 block of Springfield Loop E. (parking lot, garage), Birmingham. A vehicle tag was stolen.
-Domestic investigation from the 7600 block of Old Highway 280, Chelsea.
-Civil dispute from the 4500 block of Highway 25 (Piggly Wiggly parking lot), Montevallo.
-Domestic violence (harassment) and unauthorized use of a vehicle from the 400 block of Highway 406, Shelby.
May 20
-Possession of controlled substance and possession of marijuana from the 200 block of Samford Street, Montevallo. Recovered was a plastic bag containing approximately 1.4 grams of marijuana, 0.9 grams of Xanax, 1 gram of crack cocaine and 1.3 grams of Percocet.
-Harassing communication from the 500 block of Highway 9, Wilsonville.
-Domestic violence (assault) from the 200 block of Looney Road, Columbiana.
-Domestic violence (assault) from Forest Lakes, Sterrett.
-Forgery and illegal possession or fraudulent use of debit/credit card from the 7800 block of Highway 155, Montevallo.
-Illegal possession of credit/debit cards and theft of property from the 1000 block of Highway 55, Wilsonville.
-Theft of property from the 5000 block of Highway 30, Wilsonville. Two checks valued at $50 each were stolen.
-Domestic violence from the 200 block of Water Oak Street, Montevallo.
-Burglary from the 5000 block of Cahaba Valley Cove, Birmingham. Stolen was a Steihl backpack blower, a Steihl 20-inch chainsaw, a DeWalt 18-volt battery circular saw and case, a DeWalt electric miter saw, a red 2600 psi pressure washer with Honda motor, a jigsaw and miscellaneous hand tools.
-Burglary from the 100 block of Sarge Drive, Montevallo. Stolen was a black safe valued at $289, $42,000 in assorted U.S. currency, titles to vehicles, a birth certificate and social security cards.
-Theft of property from the 200 block of Twin Oaks Drive, Chelsea. Stolen were 25 Hydrocodone/APAP 10 to 325 mg white pills.
-Assault from the 0 block of Heritage Road (church), Shelby.
-Cruelty to animals from the 100 block of Greenbriar Ridge, Shoal Creek.
-Civil dispute from the 4900 block of Eagle Crest Road, Birmingham.
-Missing person from the 10000 block of U.S. 280 (commercial), Birmingham.
-Domestic investigation from the 3600 block of Buck Horn Cove, Birmingham.
-Criminal mischief from the 2100 block of Springfield Loop West (parking lot, garage), Birmingham. Damaged were the rear tires of a green 1998 Acura Integra.
-Civil dispute from Forest Lakes Cove, Sterrett.
-Miscellaneous information from Lake View Circle, Vandiver.
May 21
-Unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle from Greenhill Parkway, Building 5 (parking lot, garage), Birmingham. Stolen was a gray and black Toshiba laptop computer valued at $1,200 and a black nylon carrying bag valued at $75.
-Criminal trespass from the 100 block of Portobello Road, Birmingham.
-Public intoxication and found property from the 10000 block of Chelsea Road, Chelsea. Recovered were two backs of Black Rooster brand incense valued at $40 and a pack of J.O.B. 1.5 rolling papers valued at $5.
-Menacing from U.S. 280 E. on Double Oak Mountain (highway, street), Birmingham.
-Theft of property from the 10000 block of Chelsea Road at Chelsea Ruth Fields, Chelsea. Stolen was a $10 black leather wallet, $200 in U.S. currency, a social security card and driver’s license.
-Permitting dogs or cats at large from the 300 block of Talon Drive, Birmingham.
-Theft of property from Highway 41, Leeds. Stolen was a Volkswagon motor valued at $200 and heads valued at $100 from another motor.
-Unauthorized breaking and entering of a vehicle and theft of property from the 300 block of County Road 406 (parking lot, garage), Shelby. Stolen was a coach purse valued at $300, an iPOD docking system valued at $150, a debit card, driver’s license, social security and insurance cards.
-Missing person from the 2900 block of Lullwater Road, Birmingham.
-Possession of chemical compounds from Highway 25 at 16th Street (service, gas station), Calera. Recovered were two bags with writing “wicked kismet increased 6.5 grams” and one cigar rolled with a green substance weighing 0.1 grams.
-Criminal mischief from Highway 25 (highway, street; exact location unknown), Montevallo. An unknown amount of damage was done to a 1991 Ford F-150.
May 22
-Harassment from the 1000 block of Portobello Road, Birmingham.
-Found property from the 5400 block of U.S. 280 (convenience store), Birmingham.
-Found property from 200 Cahaba Park Circle (McDonald’s parking lot), Birmingham. A $20 bill was recovered.
-Violation of court order from the 100 block of Lime Creek Lane, Chelsea.
-Miscellaneous information from the 5400 block of Caldwell Mill Road (school, college), Birmingham.
-Domestic violence (harassment) from the 300 block of Highway 54, Montevallo.
-Domestic violence from the 900 block of Highway 435, Columbiana.
-Domestic violence from the 2200 block of Highway 61, Columbiana.
-Criminal mischief from the 17000 block of Highway 25, Columbiana. Damaged were two outside HVAC units valued at $1,700.
-Domestic investigation from the 5200 block of Highway 47 (restaurant), Shelby.
-Criminal mischief from the 5000 block of Chesapeake W, Birmingham. Damaged was a power meter to apartment.
-Miscellaneous (animal bite) from the 300 block of Highway 337 (highway, street), Chelsea.
-Death investigation from the 300 block of Spring Branch Road, Columbiana.
-Death investigation from the 100 block of Crenshaw Road, Columbiana.
-Domestic violence (harassment) from Bozo’s Fish Camp on Highway 402, Shelby.
May 23
-Harassment from the 0 block of Barnett Street, Montevallo.
-Miscellaneous information (vandalism) from the 2000 block of County Highway 39 (school, college), Chelsea.
-Miscellaneous information (fight) from County Highway 39 (school, college), Chelsea.
-Property damage from the 5200 block of Caldwell Mill Road (restaurant), Birmingham. Damage valued at $250 was done to a front window.
-Criminal mischief from the 4500 block of Caldwell Mill Road, Birmingham. Stolen were two extended pole brushes valued at $240, two extended pole nets valued at $250, six metal 6X40 crates valued at $150 and a bucket of chlorine tablets valued at $123.
-Miscellaneous information from the 10000 block of Highway 42, Shelby.
-Found property from the 1200 block of Inverness Lane, Birmingham. Recovered was an unlisted amount of suspected marijuana.
-Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle from the 12000 block of Highway 43, Vandiver.
-Possession of marijuana from Caldwell Mill Road at Windwood Circle (highway, street), Birmingham. Recovered was a plastic bag with 32 grams of marijuana.
-Theft of property from the 100 block of Highway 5, Wilsonville. Stolen was a real estate deed valued at $200,000 and the title to a mobile home valued at $65,000.
-Burglary from the 1100 block of Highway 31, Calera. Recovered was a canvas bag containing a large amount of coins valued at $1,000.
-Unlawful possession of a controlled substance from U.S. 280 at Highland Lakes Road (highway, street), Birmingham. Recovered was a bag containing 1.3 grams of methamphetamine and a syringe containing 3.4 grams of methamphetamine.
-Unauthorized breaking and entering of a vehicle from the 300 block of County Road 406 (parking lot, garage), Shelby. Damage valued at $300 was done to and driver’s door window of a 2008 GMC Sierra, and a Garmin GPS valued at $150 was stolen.
-Theft of property from the 0 block of Bowden Circle, Chelsea. Stolen was an AC unit valued at $4,000.
-Unlawful breaking and entering of a vehicle and theft of property from the 16000 block of U.S. 280 (department store), Chelsea. Stolen was a black purse valued at $20, white leather wallet valued at $10, two check/debit card valued at $50, EBT food stamp card valued at $110, three mini micro SD memory cards valued at $60 and 60 1mg Klonopin tablets valued at $50.
-Theft of property and criminal mischief from Adams Ridge and Adams Mills (future subdivision), Chelsea. Stolen were eight 6 and 8-inch water gate valves valued at $3,500, eight 24-inch concrete “disks” – water valve guards valued at $700 and grass-seeded and straw-covered areas of valued at $2,500.
-Theft of property from the 1300 block of Paradise Cove Lane, Wilsonville. Stolen were eight 11-foot long steel columns with steel plate valued at $800.
-Miscellaneous information from the 200 block of Merrell Beach Road, Shelby.
-Domestic investigation from the 300 block of Sheffield Road, Shelby.
