Frances Lee Butler

Frances Lee Butler, age 86, left this world to join her heavenly Father Tuesday, May 24, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Frances Lee was a devote Christian, a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church and was born and lived in Woodlawn. She moved to Wilsonville and was a member of Wilsonville Methodist Church until 2000 when she moved to Morris to live with her family. She was cared for, loved and happy for 12 years. Family was very important to her and loved being with them. She was a member of the Beta Adelpha Literary Club, Salvation Army and the Birmingham Secretary Association.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2011, at Bolton Funeral Home with Rev. Clifton Craft officiating. Burial will follow in Wilsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2011, at Bolton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Butler is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Milner Butler and Chloe Elizabeth Hockett Butler; uncle, George E. Hockett, a left-handed pitcher for the Boston Red Socks in the 1930s; and cousin, Rear Admirial Clayton Butler. Mrs. Butler left to grieve William Francis (Bill) Batson, Judy Tubbs Batson, John T. Batson, James L. Batson, Frances A. Tubbs, Janelle Smith, Michelle Akins (Rusty), Wayne Tubbs, Will Akin, Carson Akin and Alex Wyatt; special care givers, Jo Wright, Carolyn Barr, Susie Grimes and Hazel Fields; nurses, David Green and Jane Morrison; and a host of extended family and friends.
