A Helena group will be collecting items over the next few days to donate to those affected by the state’s April 27 tornado outbreak.

Volunteers will be collecting items in the parking lot of the former Helena Winn-Dixie to donate to those hit by the storms.

The volunteers will collect items April 28-April 30 until sunset, and is also offering pick-up service for anyone looking to donate items

The group is looking to collect items such as clothes, blankets, towels, cleaning and work gloves, fans, toys and games, personal and toiletry items, diapers and baby items, bottled water and canned food. The group will also be collecting cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer and large trash bags.
