The Evangel Christian School baseball team defeated Cathedral Academy 13-3 in high school baseball action April 25.

Hayden Brown led the Lightning as he finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Brown drove in two runs and scored two runs in the victory.

Thomas Milstead finished 2-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs. Brandon Mackey finished 1-for-2 at the plate and scored three runs. Ben Albright, who drove in two runs and scored one run, finished 1-for-2 at the plate with a triple.

Nate Scott drove in one run and scored two runs. Peter Lau drove in one run and scored one run. Brentley Wells drove in one run. Colin Myers and Zac Shackelford scored one run each.

Scott earned the win on the mound after giving up one earned run on two hits with four strikeouts in three innings. Josh Letson allowed two earned runs on one hit with two strikeouts and a walk in two innings.
