The Hope Christian School softball team was swept by Evangel Family Christian Academy in high school softball action April 22.

The Eagles dropped the opener 14-2.

Sarah Birdsong led Hope Christian as she finished 1-for-2 at the plate and scored one run.

Lindy Walker went 1-for-3 at the plate. Samantha Rowley scored one run.

Ashley Vann took the loss in the circle after giving up 11 earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts and six walks in 2 1/3 innings. Walker allowed three earned runs on two hits with four strikeouts and three walks in 2 2/3 innings.

Hope Christian fell to Evangel Family 20-9 in the nightcap.

Tiffany Skinner led the Eagles at the plate as she finished 3-for-4 with two triples and a double. Skinner drove in one run and scored two runs in the loss.

Walker, who drove in two runs and scored one run, finished 2-for-5 with a double. Ashleigh Callahan finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple and scored one run.

Skinner took the loss after giving up 16 earned runs on 12 hits with two strikeouts and four walks in 2 1/3 innings. Walker allowed four earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts and two walks in 3 2/3 innings.
