The Chelsea High School softball team edged Pell City 4-3 in high school softball action April 18.

Caitlin Bice led the Hornets as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in one run.

Kelsey Rich finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Alex Osborn, who drove in two runs and scored one run, went 1-for-3 at the plate with a home run.

Morgan Pence started in the circle and gave up one earned run on five hits with  a strikeout and a walk in 4 1/3 innings.

Bice earned the win after giving up one earned run on four hits with a strikeout and a walk in 2 2/3 innings.
