The Coosa Valley Academy baseball team defeated Lyman Ward 17-2 in high school baseball action April 5.

John Bullen led the Rebels (26-4) with a home run and drove in three runs.

Jarrod Mims also homered in the victory and drove in two runs. Garrett McMillan and Hunter Roe finished with a hit and drove in two runs each. Landon Floyd, Saxon Grimes and Nick Bates each had a hit and drove in one run.

Stephen Cryer finished with two hits.

Mims and Ryan Batson combined to pitch a four-inning ho-hitter.
