The Spain Park High School baseball team defeated Mountain Brook 15-0 in a Class 6A, Area 12 contest April 5.

Paul Angel led the Jaguars (27-8 overall, 2-1 in Class 6A, Area 12) at the plate as he finished 3-for-5 with a double. Angel drove in two runs and scored two runs in the victory.

Chris Ellis, who drove in three runs and scored two runs, went 2-for-4 with a double. Nathan Brock, who drove in five runs and scored two runs, finished 2-for-3 with a double.

Marks Abernathy, who finished 2-for-3 at the plate, drove in a run and scored three runs. Mikey White went 2-for-4 and scored two runs.

Charlie McPherson went 1-for-2 with a double and drove in two runs. Alex Close finished 1-for-3 and drove in a run. Carter White finished 1-for-5 with a double. Austin Veteto had a stolen base and scored two runs.

McPherson (4-0) earned the win on the mound after giving up just three hits with nine strikeouts and two walks in a complete game.
