The University of Montevallo women’s golf team finished second in a field of five teams March 21-22 in the University of West Georgia Invitational.

The Falcons carded a team total of 678 strokes, which placed Montevallo 19 strokes behind Invitational host West Georgia.

Senior Emily Gibson led Montevallo golfers in the Invitational with her two round score of 162. Gibson, who finished second overall in individual standings at the Invitational, carded an 83 in the first round March 21 and a 79 in the final round March 22.

Tracey Marshall, who finished fifth in individual standings, fired a score of 166. Emma Breen came in seventh overall in individual standings with her score of 169.

Kaylee Hale finished in a two-way tie for 18th place in individual standings after carding a score of 181.

Kira Chaudhry, a Shelby County graduate, rounded out the group of Montevallo golfers and finished 23rd overall in individual standings with her two-round score of 207.
