The Evangel Christian School baseball team defeated the Tuscaloosa Home Educators 7-5 in high school baseball action March 22.

Hayden Brown led the Lightning (9-2) at the plate as he finished 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Brandon Mackey finished 1-for-3 and scored two runs. Thomas Milstead went 1-for-3 with a triple. Mackey finished with three RBIs and a run scored. Nate Scott finished 1-for-3 and drove in three runs.

Peter Lau and Brentley Wells scored one run each.

Ben Albright picked up the win on the mound after giving up four earned runs on four hits with two strikeouts and a walk in five innings. Scott allowed one hit in two innings in relief as he recorded the save.
