The Thompson High School baseball team defeated Foley 14-0 in the opening game March 14 of the Nike Gulf Coast Classic in Gulf Shores.

Chad Collum led the Warriors (13-6) at the plate as he went 2-for-2 with a triple, a home run and five RBIs.

The Warriors pounded out 11 hits and Mason Morris pitched a one-hit shutout in a five-inning complete game to earn the win on the mound.

Morris (4-0) struck out 9 batters and allowed only one hit in a dominating performance.

Andrew Smith went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Skylar Estell was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Taylor Bria, Ian Murray and Jon Keller also drove in runs for the Warriors.
