UPDATE: Helicopter continues search for missing UM student

MONTEVALLO – The University of Montevallo and Montevallo Police continued their search for a missing student March 10 by including a helicopter search of Montevallo and surrounding areas, according to a press release from the university’s public relations office.
Robert “Bobby” Mitchell Hardin Jr., 25, was last seen around 9:30 a.m. on March 7 on Overland Road walking toward Alabama 119 in Montevallo.
“Foul play is not suspected, and law enforcement officials are asking the community for help in locating Hardin,” he press release stated.
Since Hardin was reported missing on March 7, the city and university police departments, as well as the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and a number of area law enforcement agencies, have conducted extensive searches in multiple areas throughout Montevallo.
When last seen, Hardin was wearing a black zip-up hooded sweater and blue jeans.
Hardin has blue eyes and brown hair and is approximately 5’10”, weighing 145 pounds.
