Rickey and Debra Gilliland of Hoover are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter, Lacy Gayle Gilliland, to Mr. Christopher Brent Lazenby, son of Tom and Jane Lazenby of Birmingham.
Lacy is the granddaughter of Marinel Crump and the late Charles A. Crump and Imogene Gilliland and the late Ralph Gilliland. She graduated in 2000 from Hoover High School and from the University of Alabama in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science.
Christopher is the grandson of the late William McMahon and Louise Lazenby and the late Top and L.P. Lazenby. He graduated from Briarwood Christian School in 2000 and from Auburn University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science.
The wedding ceremony took place on Feb. 26, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Amy Gilliland Williamson served as the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Lara Brooke Lazenby, Rebecca Alvord Lazenby, Laura Mahoney James and Erin Elizabeth Trapolino. Elizabeth Woods Pomeroy was the flower girl.
Thomas Edward Lazenby served as best man. The groomsmen were Thomas William Lazenby, Stephen Michael Goula, Jonathan Tyler Logue, Robert Chase Logue and Kevin Andrew Rogers. Heston William Lazenby was the ring bearer.
Ushers were Ervin Eugene Williamson, Brad Gregory Clement and Donald Curtis Miles.
The flowers were antique ivory, pale pink and white roses, white hydrangea, babies breath and greenery. The bridal bouquet was wrapped with lace from her mother’s wedding dress.
The bridal gown was a white, strapless, A-line gown with a chapel train and beaded bodice and train.
The reception was held at Hoover Country Club. The Bootyshakers Band of Hartselle provided entertainment. The honeymoon included a trip to New York, N.Y. and Gatlinburg, Tenn. The couple will reside in Birmingham.
