The Pelham High School baseball team defeated Shades Valley 16-0 in a Birmingham Metro tournament game March 4.

The Panthers pounded out 11 hits in the victory.

Hunter Soleymani led Pelham (8-0) at the plate as he finished with two doubles, four RBIs and two runs scored.

Nic Foster finished with a triple and a double. Foster drove in three runs and scored two runs. Parker Curry finished with a double and a single and drove in two runs.

Curry picked up the win on the mound after pitching a two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts.
