The Oak Mountain High School baseball team defeated Hewitt-Trussville 9-2 in a Birmingham Metro tournament game March 4.

Heath Quinn led the Eagles (5-2) at the plate as he finished 2-for-4 with two triples. Quinn drove in two runs and scored two runs in the victory.

Matthew Byars finished 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs. Barrett Gossett went 2-for-3 and scored a run.

Robby Clements picked up the win on the mound after giving up only two hits and striking out six batters with three walks in five innings.

Justin Hoyt allowed two hits and struck out two batters in two innings in relief.
