The Spain Park High School softball team fell to Hoover 3-2 in high school softball action March 1.

April Scott led the Jaguars (4-3) at the plate as she finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. Scott finished with a single and an RBI double.

Dekayla Sankey also drove in a run.

Erin Hornsby, Elizabeth Ballew, Casey Craig, Caroline Holmes and Hannah Camp each finished with a single.

Channing Haynes took the loss in the circle after giving up three runs, including one earned run, on five hits with five strikeouts and three walks in six innings.
