Chelsea finishes runner-up in pool at Lakeshore Shootout

The Chelsea High School girls’ soccer team finished runner-up in its pool Feb. 26 at the Lakeshore Shootout.

The Hornets defeated Jacksonville and Austin in pool play. Chelsea fell to Randolph.

Chelsea defeated Jacksonville 3-0.

Mara Roberts led the Hornets with two goals. Stephanie LeBeau finished with one goal.

Kaity Potter, Kayla Ogletree and Iyani Hughes finished with one save each. Chelsea goalkeeper Ashleigh Niven finished with two saves in the shutout.

Chelsea defeated Austin 3-0.

Olivia Bowman led the Hornets with two goals in the victory. Potter scored one goal.

Roberts finished with two assists. LeBeau also recorded an assist.

Niven finished with three saves. Fellow Chelsea goalkeeper Amanda Weygand recorded one save.

The Hornets fell to Randolph 2-0.

Niven recorded five saves in the defeat.
