The North Shelby-Inverness Rotary Club’s 20th annual Gala is Saturday, April 2, at the Cahaba Grande Conference Center on U.S. 280. Celebrating 25 years of service, the 2011 Gala will honor the spirit of youth. Shelby Baptist’s new neo-natal Intensive Care facility and Chelsea Middle School are beneficiaries along with Children’s Hospital Care Flight Service, whose Bell helicopter bears the Rotary International Shield. The gala will feature a no-host cocktail hour, a seated dinner, live music and dancing and silent and bid auction items including a Park City ski getaway, an “instant” wine cellar and LASIK surgery.
