Guy VandeLune, representative of Family Comfort Hospice and current president of Medical Social Service Organization (MSSO), presents a check on behalf of MSSO to the Linda Nolen Learning Center preschool program in the amount of $1,000. The MSSO of the Greater Birmingham area is a charitable non-profit membership organization of social workers, nurses and other healthcare professionals. MSSO gives all proceeds from membership dues (after meeting operating expenses) to local special-needs charities at the end of each calendar year. The LNLC preschool program will use the money to fund therapeutic equipment, pay for students’ field trips and purchase teaching supplies.
