The Chelsea High School boys’ basketball team fell to host Sylacauga 90-58 in the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 5A, Area 7 tournament semifinals Feb. 11.

Jake Ganus led the Hornets (13-17) with 20 points. Ganus also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in the area championship game.

D.J. Washington contributed 12 points  in the defeat.

Chelsea fell behind 27-10 after the opening quarter and couldn’t recover as the Hornets trailed throughout the contest.
