Snow possible Feb. 9

Shelby County could see snow again Feb. 9, according to the National Weather Service.
Central Alabama could see up to two inches of snow due to a storm system moving across the northern Gulf of Mexico, read a NWS release.
“While some uncertainty remains with regards to specific snowfall totals, accumulations of around two inches are possible,” according to the NWS.
A winter storm watch will be in effect from Wednesday afternoon through late Wednesday night.
Snowfall may begin late Wednesday afternoon and begin accumulating early Wednesday evening. The snowfall is expected to continue through early Thursday morning, according to the release.
The NWS warned travel conditions could become hazardous, with possible snow, sleet and ice accumulations.
