The Thompson High School wrestling team defeated four opponents in the Wildcat Wrap-Up meet Jan. 29 at Shelby County High School.

The Warriors took down Auburn, Hewitt-Trussville, Leeds and Fultondale in separate matches at the meet.

Thompson defeated Auburn 71-4 in the Wildcat Wrap-Up meet. Thirteen Warriors won their individual matches against Auburn.

The Warriors’ Conner Gilson earned a 20-3 technical fall decision over Aaron Harris of Auburn in the 103-pound match. DeMario Haynes of Thompson earned a 4-3 decision over Auburn’s William Sims in the 125-pound match.

Brewer Gilliland of Thompson earned a 6-2 decision over Dylan Spurlock of Auburn in the 130-pound match. The Warriors’ John Austin (J.A.) Jones pinned Arthur Bond of Auburn in the 145-pound match.

Thompson’s Nick Hall pinned Kironde Hearn of Auburn in the 152-pound match. Hunter Pinneo of Thompson pinned Auburn’s Joshua Hyatt in the 171-pound match.

Jesse Masters of Thompson pinned Joseph Burque of Auburn in the 189-pound match. Thompson heavyweight David Capers pinned Auburn’s Kendrick Willis.

Austin Gould of Thompson won the 112-pound match by forfeit. Reed Jacks of Thompson won the 119-pound match by forfeit. The Warriors’ Cody Albarado won the 140-pound match by forfeit.

The Warriors’ Cahman Holder won the 160-pound match by forfeit. Jesse Masters of Thompson won the 189-pound match by forfeit.

Thompson defeated Hewitt-Trussville 84-0 in the meet. All 14 Warriors won their individual matches against Hewitt-Trussville.

Jacks pinned Hunter Russo of Hewitt-Trussville in the 119-pound match. Haynes pinned Hewitt-Trussville’s Martin Brenner in the 125-pound match.

Gilliland pinned Austin Church of Hewitt-Trussville in the 130-pound match. Albarado pinned Hewitt-Trussville’s Fred Denson in the 140-pound match.

Jones pinned Andrew Patterson of Hewitt-Trussville in the 145-pound match. Hall pinned Hewitt-Trussville’s Samuel Ralphs in the 152-pound match.

Pinneo pinned Arnoree Sanders of Hewitt-Trussville in the 171-pound match. Jimmy Miller of Thompson pinned Hewitt-Trussville’s Braxton Busby in the 215-pound match.

Capers pinned Ian Smith of Hewitt-Trussville in the heavyweight match. Gilson won the 103-pound match by forfeit.

Gould won the 112-pound match by forfeit. The Warriors’ Hayden Franklin won the 135-pound match by forfeit.

The Warriors defeated Leeds 82-0 in the meet. All 14 Thompson wrestlers won their individual matches against Leeds.

Gilson pinned Leeds’ Alex Nickell in the 103-pound match. Gould pinned Tadarry Marshall in the 112-pound match.

Jacks pinned Leeds’ David Adkins in the 119-pound match. Haynes pinned Zac Willis of Leeds in the 125-pound match.

Gilliland pinned Leeds’ Taylor Simmons in the 130-pound match. Franklin pinned Daniel Bowman of Leeds in the 135-pound match.

Albarado earned a 19-2 technical fall decision over Leeds’ Reagan Adair in the 140-pound match. Jones pinned Tanner Hunter of Leeds in the 145-pound match.

Hall earned a 20-5 technical fall decision over Leeds’ Brian Shockley in the 152-pound match. Holder pinned Christian Hunter of Leeds in the 160-pound match.

Pinneo pinned Leeds’ Trent Brasher in the 171-pound match. Miller pinned Dylan Cook of Leeds in the 215-pound match.

Masters won the 189-pound match by forfeit. Capers won the heavyweight match by forfeit.

Thompson defeated Fultondale 70-9 in the meet. Twelve Warriors won their individual matches against Fultondale.

Gilson earned a technical fall decision over Sean Batemon of Fultondale in the 103-pound match. Gould earned a 17-1 technical fall decision over Fultondale’s Louis Jones in the 112-pound match.

Jacks pinned Wes Smith of Fultondale in the 119-pound match. Haynes earned a 17-2 technical fall decision over Gabriel Martinez of Fultondale in the 125-pound match.

Gilliland pinned Wes Smith of Fultondale in the 130-pound match. Albarado pinned Fultondale’s Nick Spradling in the 140-pound match.

Jones pinned Fultondale’s Justin Hirtle in the 145-pound match. Hall pinned Austin Durbin of Fultondale in the 152-pound match.

Holder pinned Mitchell Holcomb of Fultondale in the 160-pound match. Pinneo pinned Fultondale’s Stanley Pearman in the 171-pound match.

Capers pinned Fultondale’s Cody Powers in the heavyweight match. Miller won the 215-pound match by forfeit.
