The Coosa Valley Academy boys’ basketball team fell to Lyman Ward Military Academy 58-48 in the Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 1A, Region 2 — Area 1 tournament championship game Jan. 29.

Despite the loss, the Rebels (9-12) will advance to an AISA Class 1A region tournament next month.

Sam Bullard led Coosa Valley with 13 points.

Hunter Winslett contributed 12 points in the defeat.
