Two teachers from Shelby County were honored this week with monetary awards for their work in the classroom. Kristen Self, a Science teacher at Pelham High School, was the winner of the “One Classroom at a Time” $1,000 grant from CBS 42. Jana Gleaton, who helped develop the Freshman Forum curriculum for Chelsea High School, was the winner of a $250 award as the eCO Credit Union Teacher of the Month.
