The Briarwood Christian School girls’ basketball team defeated visiting Chilton County 73-12 in high school basketball action Dec. 4.

Anna Handlin led the Lions (8-3) with 21 points. Handlin also recorded five steals.

Abbie Cutcliffe added 13 points, five assists and five steals. Meredith Botes chipped in 12 points.

Hannah Wainwright recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Cara Medders finished with eight assists.

Hope Christian defeats GACS

The Hope Christian School girls’ basketball team defeated Georgia/Alabama Christian School 29-15 on Dec. 4.

Karlee Tate and Erin Douglas led the Eagles (3-1) with eight points each.

Christina Jones added five points. Hannah Rettig chipped in four points and a team-high seven rebounds.

Briarwood defeats Chilton County

The Briarwood Christian School boys’ basketball team defeated visiting Chilton County 76-33 in high school basketball action Dec. 4.

Jason Laatsch led the Lions (7-1) with 24 points.

Canon Smith added 11 points.

Cornerstone falls to Restoration Academy

The Cornerstone Christian School boys’ basketball team fell to Restoration Academy 75-47 on Dec. 4.

Kendall Moore led the Chargers with 28 points.

Tucker Youngblood added six points.

Hope Christian defeats GACS

The Hope Christian School boys’ basketball team defeated Georgia/Alabama Christian School 51-33 on Dec. 4.

Pete Thomason led the Eagles (3-2) with 17 points. Thomason also grabbed five rebounds.

Terrance Moore added 12 points. Seth Burnham contributed 10 points. Moore and Burnham grabbed a team-leading nine rebounds each.

Caleb Douglas finished with eight boards, five assists and four steals.
