The Pelham High School girls’ basketball team fell to Paul Bryant 53-35 in the opening game of the Panthers’ Thanksgiving tournament Nov. 20.
Jamekia Dawson led the Panthers (0-1) with six points.
Thompson tops Tuscaloosa County in tournament opener
The Thompson High School girls’ basketball team raced out to an early lead and cruised in a 50-23 win over Tuscaloosa County in its first game in the Pelham Thanksgiving tournament Nov. 20.
Asia Anchrum and KaDeisha Stowes led the Warriors (3-1) with 10 points each.
Briarwood falls to Gardendale in tournament
The Briarwood Christian School girls’ basketball team fell to Gardendale 53-48 in its opening game in the Pelham Thanksgiving tournament Nov. 20
Cara Medders led the Lions (3-3) with 11 points.
Meredith Botes added 10 points.
BOYS
Oak Mountain defeats Grissom in tournament
The Oak Mountain High School boys’ basketball team defeated Grissom 38-37 in the opening game of the Hewitt-Trussville Thanksgiving tournament Nov. 20.
Garrett Cosgrove led the Eagles (3-0) with 12 points and five rebounds.
Taylor Kral, who hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer, added six points and five assists.
Kingwood falls to Prattville Christian
The Kingwood Christian School boys’ basketball team fell to Prattville Christian 81-51 in its final game in the Tip-Off Tournament Nov. 20.
Jordan Myers led the Lions (1-2) with 13 points.
