Jimmy House, age 68, a resident of Shelby died Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at his home. Funeral service was held at 1 p.m, Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Bolton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joel Miller and Rev. Howard Brasher officiating. Burial followed at Shelby Garden of Rest. Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.
Mr. House was a long time business owner in Montevallo. He co-founded Montevallo Electric and Machine in 1972 and operated it for 35 years until his retirement in 2007. He served twice as president of the Mid South Chapter of Electrical Apparatus Service Association.
The family gives their special thanks and love to Hospice Care, his caregivers, Pam Dunn and Brenda Acreman and their special friends at First Baptist Church of Shelby.
Mr. House is preceded in death by his parents, Lowell P. and Phoebe Etress House, brother, Harry House and a son, Cameron House. Mr. House is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruby Hope House; sons, Chris L. House, Corey House (Angie); granddaughter, Rebecca House; sister, JoAnn Shirley (Jerry); brother, Billy House (Judy); aunt, Lorene Reach (Grover); nephews, Eric, Lee, Jason and Adam House; nieces, Lisa Bridges, Laurie Evans and other family and friends.
